How To Hit A Good Golf Shot With Your Feet Outside A Bunker

If you are a golf veteran then you would appreciate how difficult the game is and it certainly is not as easy as it seems. There are quite a few challenges that you will face in a round of golf. Though it is not quite often that you will see this in a resort course, hitting a bunker shot with you feet outside the bunker is exceptionally difficult. It would make you appreciate how to pros seem to be able to get out of trouble every time they get themselves into these difficult situations. However, it is not quite that simple – this shot requires skill and practise and obviously an element of luck in there as well. But to improve your chances, here is what you should do.

Set your feet firmly on the ground

The last thing you want to do is to have your feet wobbling around and you have completely no control of it. So make sure you are standing firmly on the ground first. You can always check it by making a practice swing and get a feeling of it. This is the basic of it.

Stay down on the ball

It might be a difficult concept to grasp, but that is the only way you are going to hit a solid shot in this situation. This would help with the centredness of strike and you will find it a lot easier to control the flight of the ball. However, you need to practise this all the time to be able to do it, it won’t just happen!

Watch videos of the pros

This is perhaps one of the best ways to improve your game and that is to watch how to pros do it. If possible, you can even watch a live tournament and see how they handle the situation. Obviously this is subject to whether there is a tournament hosted near your house, but it is certainly worth doing. If not, just watch videos of how they do it. Focus on their pre-shot routine and watch how they approach the ball. They are always calm and maintaining their composure and that is what you should do. Do remember that golf is as much a physical game as it is a mental one. That is why the game of golf is always interesting but also difficult!
