Golf Resorts In The Algarve: 5 Cost-Effective Options

Golfing in the Algarve can be a thrill but it can also cost a good deal of money for you to make it work. However, you can always head out to one of these golf resorts in the Algarve if you want to get a huge discount. These are courses that come in a variety of forms and will entertain all sorts of players.

  • Castro Marim
  • Penina Academy
  • Alamos
  • Parque da Floresta
  • Vale de Milho

Castro Marim

The Castro Marim course is near the Spanish border. It uses three different nine-hole segments and features some challenging dogleg turns all around the place. You can get eighteen holes reserved here for €45.

Penina Academy

The Penina Academy is a nine-hole course near the Penina Championship Course, a much larger place to play. The Academy course still provides players with a beautiful backdrop and plenty of small greens to give off a little more of a challenge when playing. It costs €25 to play the nine-hole course although a player can get a slight discount on the main eighteen-hole course when this is reserved at the same time.

Alamos

The Alamos course is a choice in Algarve that features a par-71 design and a series of large greens. These larger greens tend to be raised up above the fairways. There are also some sand bunkers that are rather deep and challenging for players. It costs about €45 to get to this course throughout most parts of the year although that total will increase during the early parts of the fall season.

Parque da Floresta

The Budens club is home to the Parque da Floresta course, a place that has reservations for as little as €40 per person. There are fairways all around the place that move up and down while the countryside of the area is in full view throughout most of the place. This is a challenging course that is fun for players but the fifteenth hole with its sweeping view is an especially popular part of the course to check out.

Vale de Milho

The Vale de Milho course is a nine-hole par-3 course that has been heralded for being one of the best small courses in the world. It has plenty of water and sand hazards all around the place while the short length, which is only about 927 meters, makes it a spot where the short game is emphasized above all else, thus creating a challenge in its own right. This course is available for reservations with a €35 green fee to use throughout the entire year.
