1. Who May Use the Services

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Services. By using the Services you represent that you meet this requirement and that any registration information you submit is accurate.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete Account), which permanently deletes your profile and associated personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the DiscGolfRankings app for your personal, non-commercial use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. We (and our licensors) retain all rights, title, and interest in the Services. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or distribute the Services except as permitted by law.

4. User-Generated Content & Community Rules

The Services let you submit content — display names, profile photos and bios, club information, event details, challenge messages, scores, and similar material ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it solely to operate the Services (for example, showing your name on a leaderboard).

Prohibited content and behavior

• Offensive, abusive, harassing, threatening, or bullying content or behavior
• Hate speech, slurs, or discrimination of any kind
• Sexually explicit or pornographic material
• Violence, threats, or content that promotes illegal activity
• Impersonation, fake profiles, spam, scams, or misleading content
• Sharing another person's private information without consent
• Cheating, score manipulation, or interfering with rankings integrity

How we moderate

• Filtering: user-entered text is screened for objectionable language before it is published.
• Reporting: every player profile has a Report option (••• menu). Reports go directly to our moderation team.
• Blocking: you can block any player (••• menu on their profile). Their content is removed from your view immediately, they can no longer challenge you, and our team is notified for review.
• Enforcement: we act on objectionable-content reports promptly — typically within 24 hours — by removing the content and, where warranted, suspending or permanently ejecting the offending user.

We may remove any User Content or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, to protect the community or comply with the law.

5. Clubs & Subscriptions

The app is free for every player. Disc golf clubs (organizations) may purchase an annual club subscription ($49.99/year after a free 2-week trial) that activates club features such as leaderboards, events, and tag rankings for the club's members. Club subscriptions may be purchased inside the app via Apple In-App Purchase, or on our website via our payment processor (Stripe).

Club subscriptions purchased through Apple In-App Purchase renew automatically each year unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and renewals are charged within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase.

Membership dues and tag fees collected by a club belong to that club and are processed through the club's own payment account; we take no share of member payments. A club may also collect membership payment directly from its members outside the Services, in which case a club administrator is responsible for confirming payment and adding the member.

6. Rankings, Tags & Events

Tag numbers and leaderboard positions are computed by the Services based on recorded rounds and events. They have no monetary value, may be recalculated or reset to preserve competitive integrity, and are not transferable.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Services — including attempting to access other users' accounts or data, probing or disrupting our infrastructure, scraping the Services, or using them for any unlawful purpose.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Services or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, including a single violation of the zero-tolerance content policy in Section 4.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Disc golf is a physical activity — you participate in rounds, challenges, and events at your own risk, and we are not responsible for anything that happens on the course.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Birdie Barn LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Apple-Specific Terms

The following applies to the DiscGolfRankings app obtained through the Apple App Store:

(a) Acknowledgement. These Terms are between you and Birdie Barn LLC only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Birdie Barn LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.

(b) Scope of License. The license granted to you in Section 3 is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

(c) Maintenance and Support. Birdie Barn LLC is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the app. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the app.

(d) Warranty. Birdie Barn LLC is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be the sole responsibility of Birdie Barn LLC.

(e) Product Claims. Birdie Barn LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

(f) Intellectual Property Rights. In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your possession and use of the app infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Birdie Barn LLC, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.

(g) Legal Compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

(h) Third Party Terms of Agreement. You must comply with applicable third party terms of agreement when using the app.

(i) Third Party Beneficiary. You acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third party beneficiary of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date, and continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
